@Crissy

Some people are okay shouting into the void and don’t care whether anyone engages or not.

I’m not one of those people. If I didn’t care about being heard, I wouldn’t be online. I want engagement and to know that I’m being heard. It’s not so much about having followers, but about experiencing interaction (like we are now). The more interaction, the better.

With a million followers, or even 12,000 followers, that was a significant PRO. Lacking that, would be a CON.

@Crissy

The Fediverse is not prefect. It, too, has its flaws.

But when I left Twitter, I had over a million followers. I left Twitter when I joined the Fediverse, May 30, 2023.

Both have their pros and cons.

@Adam_Howard oh yes nothing is perfect but i still feel this is healthier than X.

The million followers, could you have migrated them here, are they re-finding you again...

@Crissy

They did follow me here. I originally had 12,000 followers as the users, Linux-Is-Best. But moving between Fedi sites means I lost a few along the way, and even had to start over.

As I said, both have their pros and cons.
