Numerous reports lately of #Bluesky using their default "Discover" feed to promote right wing accounts and shadow ban progressive users. And yet, progressives continue to flock to this centralized, VC funded, tech bro platform 🤷
We have the opportunity to create a better public social media ecosystem, but only if we together make better choices.

I left Bluesky a couple of weeks ago. It didn't take long for a popular social media site to turn into a pile of shit.
@mastodonmigration I am mainly on Mastodon but I am also on BlueSky because some content is only available there (Zohran Mandami and AOC are there, they are not here). I don't see any right wing content in my Discover feed, it is all progressive.
@mastodonmigration I like Mastodon but I repeatedly see posts about people trying it and feeling unwelcome here or put off the platform. For example a big user I follow @GottaLaff essentially left for Bluesky. I know the decentralized nature of picking a server is odd for many normie’s but I don’t think that’s a big issue. What can Mastodon do to be more attractive?
@mastodonmigration Mea culpa for still going in there, but the transphobic, mask off moment from their admins and mods was everyone's signal to get the fuck out of there.
BT Free is a non-profit organization founded by @ozoned@btfree.social . It's goal is for digital privacy rights, advocacy and consulting. This goal will be attained by hosting open platforms to allow others to seamlessly join the Fediverse on moderated instances or by helping others join the Fediverse.
