@puzzled I鈥檓 legitimately worried how it鈥檚 going to look.
A few years back CBC published an article about how they had to take lot more trees than anticipated.
I鈥檓 going to be pissed if it鈥檚 mostly just a field.
@linux_mclinuxface @puzzled From what I remember it depends on which number you go by. Early plans said 220 to remove but a few months later they said 112 for sure and with some more at risk. I seem to remember something about 180ish in the end. Given over 700 trees on site and they're replanting, in some cases with mature trees, it's not that much given the amount of work they did. I know the picture from a few months ago showed a lot of trees.

Ooooh I want this to be good so bad (is that a sentence). I really am hoping it won't be disappointing. There is SO MUCH that could be done with all that space that goes beyond "it's a paved loop around a grassy field and also sometimes theres a concert".
@robyn I think a lot of the improvements won't be visible as they did a ton of underground infrastructure work. That was why they did have to take out some trees. In some cases the tree roots were already impacting existing infrastructure.
