I believe the midterms are still solid and on track to NOT be sabotaged. The results will be contested, after they have been tallied, but those will be the results that we all see.
To mess with the numbers after the election would tip anger well into the rope, torches and large crowds territory.
We need to elect MAGA out of congress in the midterms in order to keep our rights.
Keep the hope. Fight the good fight.
I do regularly say "I don't want to live in this world any more".
Between utter failure to make progress on stopping global warming, to the rich pushing fascism on the rest of us, so they can avoid the consequences of global warming, it feels like everything is going to keep getting worse for hundreds of years.
my attitude is to go down fighting
if you're surrounded by 20 goons, you can feel hopeless

Most of my life I have watched Democrats split their early vote around five plus candidates, while the GOP usually offers only one in opposition.
It speaks somewhat to party unification and effectiveness if one party is already at least going through the motions of being on the same page.

There were 16 Republican presidential candidates in 2016, 4 in 2012, 4 in 2008, 1 in 2004, 3 in 2000.
Democrats had 6 candidates in 2016, 1 in 2012, 3 in 2008, 4 in 2004, 3 in 2000.
Both parties field about the same number of candidates for presidential elections.
One big difference between parties is that Republicans stand solidly behind their nominee, while Democrats often deny support to a candidate who doesn't meet their perfect standards.
Voting is fundamental to this fight.
The reason the fascists are in power is because so many people have walked away and didn't think their votes mattered. 1/3 of Americans didn't bother to vote in the last election.
Well guess what? Those votes do matter and they matter more now than ever. If you don't think politiicians represent you or work for you, REPLACE them with people who will. You do that by voting, by paying attention and most importantly holding people accountable. Maybe you won't get all your favourite candidates, but you may get a few and those few matter when you are building a movement.
They WANT you to give up. They WANT you to feel powerless. Why give them the satisfaction?

I will vote if am allowed to, and I will hope that the results of the vote are accurate and true.
I don't expect either to be the case going forward, but I will vote and hope for as long as I can.
And when they come to drag you off to the labor camps, I will do everything I can to prevent it.
And when they come to take me to the gas chambers, I will not go quietly.
In the meantime, my attic is available for anyone that needs to hide out and keep a diary.
If you're cold, I'll try and find you a blanket. If you're hungry, I'll try and get you something to eat. And if I see you stealing bread and blankets:
