@dansup And the vast majority of the userbase there is just liberals who care more about attacking the left than fight the far-right. It's insufferable.
Also the moderation there is blatantly transphobic and anti-Palestine.
@dansup 90% of what I've heard people complain about Mastodon for is literally just "pick instance? TOO HARD!"
The other 10% has been people decrying the existence of reply guys, as if that isn't a problem on literally every social media platform.

Bluesky is very, ah, "us versus them". Either you're going to sacrifice yourself for their noble cause or they exile you.

@Anthony_Wolfe Sorry, but 'non-political' isn't really possible in a meaningful way. It isn't non-political, for example, to not care about Gaza or Minneapolis or Sudan or ICE deportations or indigenous rights or whatever. The status quo is decidedly *political*, so "not caring about politics" really just means that when push comes to shove, anyone not currently in society's "in-group" just doesn't matter.
