I'm a software developer working on a bunch of #Fediverse things: #Emissary, #Bandwagon, and bandwagon.fm - with several more in the pipeline.
It's a pretty strange mix that doesn't really fit today's Fediverse, but it makes sense when you see the end goal.

It's not the greatest talk about Fediverse tech, but it's the best I've got so far, and I hope it inspires you to make great things here with me.
So, 2025 is going to be a huge leap forward for the #Fediverse in general, and #Bandwagon specifically. I've finally made enough progress on the search engine that it's finally worthy of sharing a screenshot.
There's TONS more to do, but I'm so excited about getting this into your hands in January that I couldn't wait to share this now.

i know that. that's how i posted it to #Mastodon. but doesn't it feel like platforms on the #Fediverse should support other platforms here before giving priority to the very tech oligarchs we are trying to escape?

I just have to say, compared to 5 yrs ago when I first joined the Fediverse, there is so much creativity and expression on here now, it is a pleasure to watch this space bloom. All the ideas and innovation, the artistic interpretation, the science and education, and what’s my favorite part, people *helping* and *supporting* each other, especially in these challenging times.
