include-mastodon-feed plugin v2.0.0 for Wordpress finally supports the Gutenberg editor. Look out for "Mastodon Feed".
Fully backwards compatible. The shortcode will always be supported. The Gutenberg block is rendered using the same callback render function.
Finally an update worth increasing the mayor version number 🎉
