@gdmechantlou I wish we could have a home, but I can’t imagine that happening, because I can’t even provide my meal here in Gaza.
I carry keys that no longer open doors, but they open an entire story.
These keys once belonged to my home and my father’s home.
When we were displaced, we locked the doors and left, hoping to return.
We did not know that the return would be to emptiness… to rubble.
The houses fell,
but the right did not.
The walls were destroyed,
but the memory still stands.
