Excellent video out on practices in agriculture in Canada, including labour practices which the Federal Gov't controls through the Temporary Foreign Workers program and Canada's complete lack of enforced regulations in the industry for human and animal welfare. Animal Agriculture uses the same propaganda and green/humane washing tactics as Big Oil.
A helpful overview and explanation of the human cost of this work. No wonder the UN highlighted the near-slavery working conditions of the people and animals who suffer providing food in Canada while profits are siphoned off by big business.
Worth watching if you prefer to know more about what goes into providing food In Canada.

Looking over the numbers the majority of the 600,000 migrants to Alberta in the last five years that Danielle Smith complained about are not immigrants, they are interprovincial migrants. For immigrants to Canada Alberta receives an amount comparable to our population which would be around 250k over those five years.
It is fair to note that some of those interprovincial migrants are immigrants to Canada who landed in other provinces and then later moved to Alberta. However, as even Jason Kenney points out, Canada has freedom of mobility and no constitutional amendment will change that.
You better bet my sparkly new Canadian citizenship voting rights will be exercised on October 19th.

Feeling let down by our healthcare system right now. I've long been its biggest supporter. There are of course a lot of problems, but those problems haven't hit as hard personally as they are now.
Canada and every province needs to re-energize and re-resource its public medical system for the post-babyboom generations.
