Bah every update of #vscode seems to push more AI stuff on me. I am starting to feel like I should look into editors again. Is 2026 the year I finally switch to #vim or #helix?

Please suggest good editors that do not try to force AI on me...

Edit: mostly working with #Python and #cpp if that has any impact on recommendations.
