Took a walk on Hennepin Ave earlier this week. Minneapolis just completed a 2-year makeover between Lake Street & Franklin Ave. It's a major improvement, providing good infrastructure for walk & bike & autos in that ~1 mi stretch. Also of note: The City has done a good job keeping the three (walk, bike, auto) types of lanes clear of snow & ice in this stretch, in contrast to surrounding neighborhoods.

@moira @theantlady @ascentale @bikenite: I guess I just haven't found the right words. Let me try with a picture. See those two (vertical) Knog Plus taillights on the trailer. They're sitting in lugs in the reflective fabric stripe going all around the trailer. Those lugs are only at these two points (and one more for the security flag's post) especially to mount taillights. I wonder if there's a Lumos Firefly mount which fits into these lugs, too.

it came with mounts that use silicon O rings and/or zipties and/or spring clips (pick whichever you want) so you've got some choices, but nothing involving fabric lugs which I don't quite know what are.
Also they're cordless so I don't know what you mean by plugging them in but the attachment with the rings and/or zipties for the light itself is magnetic (and strong, I've given it some good shakes) or if you use the clip, the spring-loaded clip.
@moira @theantlady @ascentale @bikenite A8: Oh, they're Lumos Mini Fireflies! That's a cool idea to put them on a bicycle trailer! Tempted to buy a set, too, just for the trailer. I already have a Lumos Ultra helmet. Do they fit on horizontal fabric lugs (i.e. where you have to plug in the lights from the top)?

Middle of the road? Maybe less middle now here in eastern PA since riding is more limited. And the limiting factor seems to be lack of community and limited riding for anything but recreation. So I do some wrenching, a decent amount of riding, and give advice when asked, but that's it. Oh and I know folks at both LBSs.
But anything more here is hard.

A4. I run quite a bit when I can, because it seems like it's easier and quicker than faffing about to get a bike out. Also canicross to exercise the dog, mentally and physically. Gym sessions for strength (discounted membership through work), previously some swearing at kettlebells.
If I weren't short of time, I'd probably just do a lot more cycling.
