Not everyone is tech savvy and some people may have problems with using their devices. Let's take care of them and help them to learn about how to make it safe to use the device, how to safely browser the internet and how to avoid scams like messages asking to click a link.

An IP address is the internet equivalent of a radio frequency. Imagine you could yell a radio station name into a radio, narrowcasting it to an automated station that sent back a frequency for that name, to which your radio tuned itself. That would be the radio equivalent of way the domain name system works on the web.

The net is like books. There are well-known ones, with hundreds or thousands of content distributors. Self-published ones nobody ever reads. And everything in between. The best form of promotion, if you can get it, is widespread word of mouth. But you can't pay for it or organise it, it's as much about luck and timing as creative promotion.

There are a handful of giant global publishers who end up with most of the money made from books. But nobody controls books.

Das #Fediverse, sprich #Mastodon, wird nun wirklich populär. Denn mittlerweile werde ich über #Propaganda massig belehrt was denn wirklich freies #Internet, sprich #App's- Konsum sei. Sind aber Techgiganten.

Ich muss mich wirklich beherrschen nicht darauf zu reagieren (ausser diesen Toot) um denen noch Aufmerksamkeit zu verschenken. Nun ja, die Propagandamaschine und seine Sklafen bekommen kein bisschen #Aufmerksamkeit.

P.S. Ja mensch kann die blockieren und melden aber eines nach dem anderen.
