CALL FOR HELP

Hello,

Today there are 107 verified families on the Fediverse thanks to @gazaverified . It’s incredible to welcome so many persons and at the same time it’s a great responsibility.

We’ve noticed since a few days that big online platforms are intensifying their anti-Palestinian actions:

- #google is blocking the creation of new accounts geolocated in Gaza. We got reports from 2 accounts.

- the crowdfunding platform #GoFundMe is asking for impossible guarantee to Gazans such as a permanent address. However Gazans are in constant displacement. Therefore, their GoFundMe accounts are blocked, donations are sent back to donators (and apparently it’s not systematic: Solène told us that she did not get a refund.)

- #bluesky is hunting Palestinian accounts down and suspending them. Even when it is only a suspicion…

From everywhere, we see a global intention in suppressing Palestinian voices and in erasing this genocide. We need your help and your support!

A trusted crowdfunding platform such as @Liberapay would be life-saving for all the Palestinian here. It would be a shelter from international pressures and influences against Palestinians.

We are not a large collective. As all of you, we have our own lives. We do as we can to pursue on both fronts: our personal lives and helping our friends from Gaza.

How can you help Gazans (and us)?

Writing, translating, boosting their posts, talking with them, answering to their distressed calls, giving money, helping them when there are technical problems on their fundraisers, catch up on them if they disappear for a few days, spotting the aggressors and scammers, etc.

And if you can’t help, please send a support message so we won’t feel alone in front of the vastness of the task.
