So remember how I told you a group of tow truck drivers in #LosAngeles started coming together to follow and then tow illegally parked ICE vehicles during their illegal raids?
Also, remember how people said I was lying about it?
Yeah. So. They are now tracking them down, and starting to harass and charge some of the tow truckers who took their cars. It looks like most of them will beat the charges, but yeah.
I’m going to get real specific, and with good reason.
Remember when @ai6yr and his randofollowing of assholes called me a liar, and chose to believe a right wing/leaning snopes rather than believe a Black woman who saw the tow truck alliance happening first hand? Then they harassed me, calling me a fake for about two weeks?
So here’s the follow up. Turns out the first tow truck company owner beat all federal charges yesterday.
Will I get an apology? Probably not.
Please believe. I will NEVER forget that insane bigotry, the clear racism that drove it, and will not forget why people hate mastodon and avoid it the way they do, anytime soon.
Because people like @ai6yr would rather discount a Black woman’s first hand experience on what she saw, and believe A KNOWN RIGHT LEANING WEBSITE, than to just do the work of researching to find the truth.
