@kevinrns Yes, plenty of evacuation warnings and some evacuation orders. I expect this to continue until many years past when we stop burning carbon (either planned, or unplanned... at some point the instability will destroy the oil and gas supply chain and it will self correct. Civilization, however, will be in a fine mess if it is a self correction. )
Its so_ much cheaper to just stop burning oil.
@kevinrns Oh, certainly. If the world were sensible, and just, we'd be dramatically decarbonizing like the survival of the human species depended on it -- scaling back. Alas, instead, the billionaires are rigging the game with AI etc. so they can hide in their bunkers, on their private islands, and fly to Mars (none of which will work of course) while the rest of the planet burns.
