Edgesuite is antimalware/bot-blocking software I believe so it may actually be reacting to an IP/user agent combo or something like that.

It may have. These big-BS sites are constantly changing crap just to try and stay relevant (modern frameworks, "design", etc., etc.). So with every update, it risks breaking in more sites and even forcing some of us to perform a re-eval of our uBO (et al) rules.
