TIL That in 2000, singer Kirsty MacColl died saving her son from a motorboat crash. She pushed her son out of the way and was hit by a boat piloted by Guillermo Nova, Mexican multimillionaire. The Nova family paid for a fall guy which led the MacColl family to form the Justice For Kirsty campaign.
