This is a lovely obituary in the Guardian, for someone whose work I've used but name I didn't know: Christopher Hoskin, who got a DPhil in math, did major IT at Oxford, then dev ops for Overleaf, also worked on Debian and Mathlib. Also an expert on natural history and orchids. A fine life that ended too soon.
