I have been baking less for a couple of reasons.
One was that our oven wasn't heating evenly. I don't like to bake if I can't do it right.
Now that we have a new oven it's time for a test run.
My daughter suggested that scones would be a special Christmas morning treat.
It makes me happy that she loves it when I bake. She never wanted to learn to cook as a kid but the grandkids will take a cooking lesson any time they can talk me into it.
Here are the scones in the rough before they went in the freezer.
Fingers crossed that the oven is a keeper.

Cinnamon chip are my favorite scones! Do you make the chips, or can you buy them pre-made? I've never even thought to look for them at the grocery store.

I buy cinnamon chips made by Hershey. I have to buy them online because no stores carry them around here.

I'm not always tempted by pastries but these are tempting.
The oven works!
The scones smell heavenly.
I stopped to ask if they prefer them lightly frosted or naked.
I guess I will frost when they cool down.
