Two years ago, today

I was feeling better and no longer had a fever, but I didn't have much energy. My wife didn't have a fever at that moment, but she had zero energy. It was Christmas Day and we were alone as we didn't want to infect our parents.

We decided to take a short drive to the Po River to relax, without getting out of the car. I took this photo as a memory of that moment.

By 27th December, I would have a 'brain fog' and dizziness. She had a cough that lasted for a long time. We decided to take a test. I was negative, but I had gotten sick earlier. She was positive. It was our first time having Covid.

Peaceful view of the Po River at sunset, with the low sun softened by mist, bare winter trees silhouetted along the riverbank, and golden reflections spreading across the calm water.

@stefano Sorry about the experience. Both me and my wife had it. I know that she had it, but I’m not sure about myself. I have taken tests, but did not have access to tests in 2020. I made sure to vaccinate five times for Covid, a couple of times for the flu as well. I’m very much 100 % in favor of vaccines.

When the pandemic first hit. We were laid off at the casino I worked at. So after awhile I went back to work at a hospital for a bit. When I got called back, I had to take a covid test. It was positive I never had any symptoms. My husband got it about a month ago, I never got it. His doctor said I'm probably asymptomatic.

I'm glad you made it through okay. So far I haven't had it. I wonder what the percentage of people who have had it is. It's really not something I hear much about. I took my first test this year when someone visited us and called the next day with a positive test. We didn't get it.

@ajlewis2 as far as I know, my parents haven't had it. I suspect my mother could have had it, but my father surely didn't.
I suspect that people who worked many years (they did for more than 40 years) in the healthcare system have a stronger immunization.
