Today is "Boxing Day", a day on which one may grumble freely about how much software is distributed solely in the way of "Boxes" / Docker containers.

I hear you, but on the other hand, you have software stacks which come with in "installer" script which just tell you, that Debian trixie is unsupported and the script only allows Debian 11 or 12...
Or obviously, you can try to install all stack parts manually and glue them together yourself.
Either way, bothersome
@neil at work we once had a client hand over some software. It worked on his machine, so they just sent us several computers in the post.
