TIL the ending of the original script for Joker (2019) included Joaquin Phoenix's Joker carving a smile onto his face in front of his supporters. However, before Christopher Nolan left WB, he reportedly "killed that idea" because he felt that only his Joker (Heath Ledger) should carve his face.
