A couple of years ago I deleted my quite large Instagram account, because of ads, because of algorithm, because of ... well, you know, billionaires being ah. This year I decided that my almost 20 yo partnership with Flickr just gave me grief because it just doesn't work well for me, and I closed it down as an open account.



And I found Pixelfed.



I have always had a love for sharing photos, but also, interacting on a basic level with people I really don't know. You might say I like people I don't know better than the ones I know ... anyway, to share photos and have a conversation going on is important to me. And I find Pixelfed so rewarding in both that sense.



Not that it is of any interest to any but me, but as I will try to do something new next year, more and longer projects month to month, I wanted to tell you, the ones I had small conversations with in 2025, thank you y'all. So far, Pixelfed is only a positive experience, to me.
