Most no longer even understand that media like websites or podcasts being decentralized, is fundamentally different than a service like YouTube giving you an account, right? We've gotta find a way to tell that story once again if we want people to be excited about #mastodon, #ghost, #pixelfed, #peertube, #owncast etc.

@wjmaggos the fediverse need full portability including conte nt with all the likes,share etc than it need to focus on pratical advantages instead of idealistic ideas tht people don't care sbout too much like privacy. Instead of saying it is open source you say the code is avaiable for anyone to add new cool features and different clients. Instead of saying it is not owned by oligarch we should say festures you like do not get removed for profits
