I wonder if reputational damage was on anyone’s mind at openAI when they caused a 10x increase in RAM and solid state storage with their “deal” to monopolize all that production capacity.

It reminds me directly of what crypto did to GPUs, and the dominant sentiment during “crypto winter” was “THANK GOD FINALLY maybe gpu prices will get better…” which has got to be a bummer if your Lambo portfolio is now a tricycle portfolio, to have everyone laughing at you.

Anyways this whole AI bubble wouldn’t have happened if the workers controlled the means of production instead of the brunchlords and the broligarchy so please join the worker’s revolution and love your neighbor. ✊🤙
