Friends I bought some of these chickpea flour based Indian savoury squares at an Indian restaurant. They come with a tamarind and what I think is a coriander chutney. Absolutely delicious and I would love to know the name if anyone has it because I have forgotten #indianfood #vegetarian #adelaide #india

TIL these are called “dhokla” and come from Gujarat.
They are made from a rice and chickpea batter which is fermented then spiced and steamed to give it the light texture before fried curry leaves and other spices are added then served with chutneys.
So popular are they that the Indian govt put them on a stamp!
