@meljoann what an interesting web site! I've spent a lot of today checking out the various feeds and can safely say that there goes yet another chunk of my "spare" time 😁 Really interesting and eclectic stuff!
@meljoann I didn't know MTV shut down. What killed the video star?
@meljoann This sounds _amazing_ - sadly I missed it live. How did it go? Do you think there'll be more?
(So many questions..!)
@clickhere aw no worries Joan! There’ll definitely be more events, and the launch vid will go up online too I’m sure.
We were stunned by the response! The vibes were so nice. There’s basically nowhere for music vids to go these days, so I think we are all feeling this is sorely needed ✨
thanks @meljoann for promoting this so heavily today. Without it I would have missed hours of fun and connectedness today. And lots and lots of good music.
@meljoann Has anyone been able to play the stream in LibreElec/Kodi? I can't get it to work on mine.
@AvonVilla ooh no idea sorry! Boosted before I head to bed here. You could ask in chat also
Second launch is in 14 mins!
Watch & chat on the website, or cast to yer TV, or search for “The Indie Beat” on Roku.
20:00, then 04:00 UTC
Second launch is in 20 mins! 20:00 UTC …
@meljoann excited to see where this goes!
@meljoann you won't have DragRace, so.....
@meljoann MTV died over two decades ago. :)
@meljoann this is awesome!!!!!
@meljoann Caught a few minutes of this this morning, and the third thing I saw was your "O Supervisor". It was amazing! This really does have the feel of very early MTV (when most of the videos available for them to play were experimental things by the likes of Devo and Todd Rundgren), but better.
And the chorus of "O Supervisor" has been stuck in my head for the past hour and a half.
