Talking found sounds for musical purposes:

One of the things I really love about creating "instrument"-sounds from found sounds, is the often complete unique texture of the sounds. You will not find that perfect kick, snare or piano. But you will find something similar, that just adds this extra layer of liveliness to a production.

The easiest way is to take ANY kind of sound, zoom in, select a single sound wave and throw it into a sampler. There you go, free random waveform.

If I'm stuck with my source materiale, and can't find anything interesting (after Paul Stretching for an hour), I always use this 'waveform' trick. A tip can be to take a slightly longer sample, and browse through the individual waveforms - or combine 3-4 waves in a row. When you find something you like, you do all the same things as you would with a synthesizer, ADSR, Filter, Modulation etc... And then Chorus. And saturation.

Remember always Chorus (but mono bass ofc) 😂
