@IPXFong I'd like to try pickled cactus one day. Some say they are similar to pickled pears but I still think they deserve to be on the bucket list.
And patiently waiting an Aussie comes in and says it has gone cactus.

I've never tried pickled pears, sounds interesting!
Tender cactus has a texture like a steamed zucchini/courgette but it's slimy like okra. The flavor is mild but satisfying. It used to be a fairly common "vegetable" around here but not as many people eat cactus these days. I like it in tacos, with beans and rice and cactus is fantastic in scrambled eggs. 馃構
@IPXFong I do like okra and I definitely need to try it out now.
