The #CoronationBrickAndTile #strike began on #ThisDayInHistory in 1973 in #Durban, South Africa. It spread across the city, and by the end of March half the black workforce was on #GeneralStrike. Brickworkers saw their wages doubled, and class solidarity across racial lines grew.
