@Casey that's so awesome, congrats! I saw the fediverse experiment episode today, even more awesome that people are deciding to spring up platforms and federated places like that, experimenting and such like it was back in the old internet, now all we need is the simplicity and ease of use of web 2.0, as Cory Doctorow would put it, and he's right in that.
Also, an important metric here isn't only how many users you have, but how many instances yours federates with, which is far more important for discovering content, because focusing on your own users only sounds very similar to the number go up mentality we're trying to avoid here. I'm not sure if mastodon shows that information, but go to social does for example.
@Casey Hi there! Very nice episode of #SearchEngine, this is Jan from Czech from my own #SelfHosted Mastodon server! Like the episode! @_elena check this out over at https://www.searchengine.show/the-fediverse-experiment/, it's cool!
I recall being the annoying guy asking you to cover the fedi 😊 (or at least one of them)
@OttoNorse apparently we can still add more people ... going to keep going until it explodes
@Casey @OttoNorse About 2,800 but who's counting
@sruthi @Casey @OttoNorse I feel the happiness and terror of any party that exceeds venue capacity
@Casey Huge congrats! ✊
