i found a new happy place in books that have the usual romance settings but with queer people. i think its also why i like ghibli movies so much. shit happens, curses get cast but in the end it turns out okay, maybe even better than before.
@whangdoodler Thank you! Are they like Romantasy? The books you mentioned? I always struggle with mainstream romance readers because they say that queers/diverse romance is really hard to find, when that’s all I really come across, I guess it’s what you actively look for? I mean like 99.9% of my romance is either queer, or non-American, or diverse in some other way so I haven’t read a lot of the mainstream romance but I wrote that because I see everybody constantly shitting on the genre because it’s not realistic or it’s a lesser genre simply because of the happy ending, so now I can just share a link and say this is why “read this! Take care now, bye-bye then!”
