I visited #Discord recently only for keeping tabs on the videogame project that my IRL friend is doing and communicate my playtest data directly to the team.

Otherwise, the whole platform with multiple groups I subscribed to is a mess. Felt like my experience there is cleansing a bit when I left all the "servers" today (and got rid of that FOMO a few years before).

Whatever drives these dudes' boats, I suppose. If they can enjoy this abode as a space for jamming together, I admit Discord is doing pretty great as the all-in-one solution. I still hope we get some alternative that doesn't beg you to get that Nitro sub for putrid attention-seeking badges and inter-group emojis. My number one concern with Dickord so far was these petty advertisements.
