#SilentSunday I normally prefer my rocks without surface biota. But this boulder looks beautiful with its lichened sides and roof of moss. Met with last week, near Tir Fhearagain in the Ross of Mull.

A large grey boulder occupies most of the central part of the image, sitting in heathery and rocky moorland under a grey sky. The boulder has a striking green mossy top, and thickly mottled pale lichen patches on its sides.
