i have tried to discuss this like 7429343219 times with them.

with all i have explained about their thinking i just cannot come to their conclusion that:

- collapse is generally inevitable
- a multi-polar world order without the US as leader will be peaceful
- you cannot fix, or at least try to use the #democrats for good purposes

it is just a lazy, no respect of #complexity, no revision of you past predictions -ass attitute which stems from a simplistic understanding of a world that has been upended by COVID.

the US could hit the absolute peak of oil production today, the peak and seneca collapse of industrial production could set in any time. it is not that that is off the table. it is just: now we also have as fascist USA. and i would greatly appreciate if the #systemsthinking community tried to REALLY wrap their heads around that and not just write it off as: yeah it's #collapse anyway. quiet frankly that unwillingness to understand how we got here is inexcuseable.

if they only left the #energy maximum principle and non equilibrium #thermodynamics out of it. two things i hold very dearly.

they are not the reason for trump. they are not the reason why democracies lose trust.

there are maybe a million reasons for #trump but the #systems #ecology had absolutely nothing to do with it.

it just shows their loss of the narrative.

very funny when it happens to the MAGAs. very sad when it happens to your own.

my direct question to the #systemsthinking community: if you had to redo world3, include the massive effects of social inequality, include big money & power, global, all encompassing #posttruth #misinformation campaigns corrupting the feedbacks - what would it look like?

Fracking kicked the can down the road but we already see the can again & it really can't be kicked any farther.

Tech bros know that. There are a lot of things going on, but *most* of it is related to the oligarchy deciding that instead of everyone living sustainably, they'll just get rid of as many other people as possible so they don't have to share anything with the masses.

They tapped into cultists & racists et al, but they're just a means to an end. The end is to have it all.
