I was shocked moving to the island of Oahu and seeing so many evergreen trees. People call them Cook Pines. However, after living in Portland, Oregon. I was chastised for calling them Pine Trees.

I love all types of evergreens. They make great pathways in forests and blanket the ground with soft needles, except those that drop their cones, you do not want to fall on those.
