Dear #maker lazyweb - is there such a thing as a "friction bearing"? Something like a regular ballrace bearing but which provides X amount of resistance before starting to move? I feel like there's a whole range of little mechanical doodads I could make if only I could add a measurable amount of "stay where I put it" to each joint. Something bidirectional so it couldn't just ratchet in one direction. I've done armature wire with ball-and-socket joints before, looking for other options.
