I can really recommend the Forbidden City. It doesn't have a StarBucks prominently anymore. I was unlucky enough to visit it when it still did, it's apparently much nicer now 😁
@webhat did you know the language by then ,if not was it easy for you to communicate
@yasmine I had no issue communicating, my Chinese was poor and their English was much better in most of the cases. I was supposed to only stay for a couple of nights and ended up spending a month in Beijing. My Chinese was still poor at the end of it, and it was much better than when I arrived
