"...Samuel Tremblett pleaded with a 911 operator to be rescued from his burning Tesla Inc. Model Y SUV after a crash, saying “I can’t get out, please help me” and “I am going to die.”
A lawsuit alleges that Tremblett died after he was unable to open the electrically powered doors on his Tesla vehicle after the crash, and that he was trapped and died from thermal injuries and smoke inhalation...."

@ai6yr The other aspect of my rant as to why would anybody buy the cars:
What happens when he gets tired of making cars? I mean he already is converting the Fremont factory to make robots. So what happens with these highly connected cars that are dependent on the main servers for updates etc.
That is where he his headed and does that just brick the car? I mean I had a first generation NEST thermostat. When it sold to google and died I did not care for googles privacy practices so I went with a dumb but works fine and is NOT connected. That was a while back and last year Google bricked the 1st generation anyway. Ask any ReplayTV or Tivo owners for that matter
So if Tesla goes down or he simply merges into oblivion and they are out of the car business what then?
I wonder if the Chinese regulators will shift the international car market and we'll see electrically operated handles vanish
