If AI comes up with a plausible BS research proposal, writes the grant. Samples are taken by an automated sampler, analysed by an automated machine. AI writes up the findings and send to the publisher who scans it with AI who chooses reviewers. Those reviewers use AI to peer review and it gets published. What exactly is the scientists job here? Just a meat puppet to load the machines?
