Some skirt hem atop a desk, showing a narrow herringbone weave beige cloth tape hand tacked onto the hem, hiding raw edges. The skirt fabric is a nice deep moss or olive green, the tacking thread is a light pink, and the nice twill weave of the fabric is subtle.

Closer up, now with machine topstitching through the linen tape and the skirt right side, and even a little bit of the basting stitches. There are two neat lines of the dark green machine sewing visible on the right side. It's much neater on that side, as the linen tape endeavoured to wander and ripple a bit while stitched in place.
