Guess what arrived today?
All the books for the access to university exams for above 25 years old people.
I still can't believe one of them is all about psychology. But then the Spanish educational system changes more often than I trim my nails.

@maikel@vmst.io what does this mean, its like the standard books for some diploma?
@ellyxir you pass the exam and then you can go to any Spanish university without any previous qualifications.
It's the same as passing Spanish baccalaureate.
Should I need to do it ? Nope. I've got a full degree with a 2.1 honours in computing science I'm obviously overqualified for this exam.
But it's a lot quicker and cheaper than doing the conversion of my British degree into something Spain's retrograde system accepts.
Let alone it gives me the gist of how the Spanish UNED works as compared to the British Open University. Before I commit to doing the degree.
@ellyxir why bother?
Price and career development.
If I do the brith degree it won't be any less than £24000 whereas the Spanish one is less than 3000€.
Brit degree of psychology qualifies you in the UK, Spanish degree qualifies you in Spain. And with qualify I meant as a CLINICAL psychologist. Not that I'm interested in being one but it's good to have choices.
@maikel@vmst.io oh i see! kind of interesting, well, good luck, sounds kinda like fun. wish it weren't even 3k, thats kind of a lot still but a lot less than £24k !
@ellyxir the 3k is entirely optional. You can apply to a student grant, most people do. The issue with it is the system is made in a way that you first pay it then the government pays you back months down the line
@maikel@vmst.io i see, i guess its not 3k all at once, so you get reimbursed bit by bit. just more paperwork. i dont know about you but i suck so bad at paperwork.
@ellyxir also think in both cases I'm telling you the final price of the whole degree. Not per year.
