I'm sure I'll have something pithy to say about a word processor needing a whole top-level menu item called "Privacy & Analytics" once I"m done picking my jaw up off the floor and then fuming.

#apple #pages #macos

The "Privacy & Anayltics" dialog in Apple Pages, a word processor. Notice the "Share Analytics Data" option is enabled by default, and setting it will enable it for all devices with iCloud Password and Keychain enabled.

The "How your data is managed" link contains some interesting items about what data is collected, including "…the features and content in Pages you view or with which you interact…." In other words, if Apple wants to know you followed a link, clicked an image, selected some text, they're perfectly OK with doing that.
