The U.K. High Court privacy trial against the Daily Mail's publisher, ANL, continued today with evidence from David Furnish, husband of Sir Elton John. Furnish wrote in a statement that he and John believe their home's landlines had been bugged by the Mail, that the tabloid had obtained a copy of their son's birth certificate before they did, and that it published personal medical details about John's health. Seven claimants are suing the Mail, including John, Furnish, Prince Harry, and anti-racism campaigner Baroness Doreen Lawrence, whose son Stephen was murdered in a racist attack in 1993.
