I found #StarTrek Discovery fun to watch, but it didn't really blow me away. So I had the same mid-level expectations for Starfleet Academy, that I'd be happy to watch it, but it would be particularly memorable.

But now that we're halfway through the first season, I'm ready to say that I was wrong. I love it. Like, really, really love it.

And I'm not just saying that because the most recent episode was basically written for fans of my generation. So far the whole thing has actually been really great.
