Far too many companies: "Data protection laws are a failure because they're making our business harder! We need deregulation!!"

Dear companies,
data protection laws are meant to protect people's human rights, not to facilitate your business!
Their sucess isn't measured in how much you like them, but in how well they're protecting people from you. And honestly, judging by how careless some of you treat other people's personal data, this protection is necessary!
