I’m not sure I’ve seen this as much white hot rage for a TV show as we’re seeing now on YouTube for #StarfleetAcademy. So-called #StarTrek fans are evidently incensed because it’s non-stop outrage over there. It’s pretty obvious they were never Trek fans to begin with but it’s still depressing as hell.

I take “fans” being mad at Starfleet Academy as validation of the show not trying to appeal to the masses 🥳🎉
Modern Trek has typically played it safe by following the JJ Abrams action/adventure template. It’s usually *fine* but can lack the soul and intelligence of the best Star Trek shows.
Most Star Trek since TOS made fans angry when it first aired including TNG, DS9, and VOY— Starfleet Academy is in good company.
After S1E4 I’m hopeful Academy keeps surprising me!
