This is one of my favorite features in the app.
I was on a flight recently and picked up the safety pamphlet. No braille. No accessible version at all. I could not read it. So I pulled up Perspective Intelligence and it read it for me right there on the plane. No wifi. No cell service. It just worked. (1/3)

That is what these vision features are for. The app includes a scene describer that tells you what is around you, short text recognition that reads signs, labels, and menus, and document OCR that pulls text from full pages and documents. Point your camera at something and it tells you what it sees. All in real time.
Most apps cannot help you without the internet. This one can because everything runs locally on your phone. (2/3)
Every vision feature is free. No subscription. No paywall. We made that choice because we want to help people. And this is just the start. Eventually we want to bring these features to Meta smart glasses so you do not even need to reach for your phone.
