@davidrevoy also I mean it just takes a sec to check you've been doing this longer than AI, that you've done several tutorials etc.
What a shitty system if it's not able to check for that.

So first they train AI on real artists stolen pictures, and then they say the artist's pictures look like what AI generates...

@davidrevoy They still owe me a couple hundred dollars too. But they're in a different state and the cost/hassle of going to small claims would have been prohibitive. Also it would have meant dealing with them again. So I'm calling it the asshole tax.
@davidrevoy I got kicked out of a high paying freelance gig because my organic writing kept tripping their "industry standard" "AI detector." Said (alleged) detector was completely paywalled and just gave a percentage match, didn't highlight phrases, so I wouldn't have been able to fix individual issues. I suspect part of it is that I write like an autistic person, and another part is that when all you want is soulless advertising copy, it's impossible to distinguish the source.

I am sure, our best strength is to enforce a collective human effort to make human creation on the foreground of the scene. I don’t know if it could be better, if there are drawbacks, but I am more and more attracted by https://codeberg.org/robida/human.json.

@davidrevoy that is likely because your work has been stolen by scrapers and used to train AI's.
So they see the same style in some AI art.
And that sucks.

@davidrevoy I am so sorry that such wonderful work is a victim of rubbish AI nonsense. How can this be fixed? False automated accusations are actually libelous and I would take it on that way. There must be a artists' association that can so this? Good luck. Great paintings.

@davidrevoy the irony/absurdity of this is that the AI used to detect AI production probably had ingested your work at some point of its training from its base model and now consider anything remotely resembling your work as "possibly" made by AI, which strangely make sense as someone could have used the AI to copy your style. A bizarro word kind of sense; the very stuff that stole your work is now used to label your original work as fake. That's just...great. 🤦🏾♂️

This is happening to almost every creator. A lot of those accounts are AI bots, off to sow confusion and doubt by claiming any real art - real creativity - is AI.
The fact that AI is trained on our stolen works means that it will detect our creative efforts as AI... and therefore makes AI useless for detecting AI.
The tech bros who love AI want to - very literally - destroy any real creativity in favor of their fake slop.
Then they pretend to be offended when we say we hate AI.
