Been feeling very unmotivated about work recently. I don't know if it's post-vacation letdown or what. 😑

There's always a long transition period from jobs on Capitol Hill (which seem important!) to jobs that ... aren't.

I'm not sure I could handle a bigger job right now than the one I have anyway.
I'm grateful that it pays well and doesn't demand too much and I like my colleagues. Am I excited about it? Absolutely not.

Our HR department has been on a kick about everyone being ENGAGED! and having their BEST DAY AT WORK! and I'm just like, yeah, fuck off.
I'm sure it doesn't help that my job now is just ... a job. It's not a calling. It pays the bills. I'm not inspired by it.
